Summary:

This insulation manufacturer had an old auger that was no longer efficient and riddled with wear. NEMX was asked to supply a full turnkey project in a short window. NEMX performed the design, fabrication and installation of the more than 100 feet of auger in a 8 week period.

The Challenge:

The auger system had 60’ of incline and 40’of horizontal 30” diameter auger that routed through a wall and on top of storage bins within a building. The design and build required custom hangers, hard facing of auger flights and mechanical drive calculations for efficiency. The installation portion was challenging due to space, size of the auger and the time frame being over a 2-week shut down period.

Why the insulation manufacturer client chose NEMX:

NEMX was chosen due to price, ability, reputation within the industry and timeline plan.

How NEMX Responded:

NEMX planned and executed the full scope of this project safely on time to the highest degree of quality and on budget. Utilizing our 3D scanning technology and talented design team from the start NEMX was able to accurately build and install a superior auger than what was replaced to the satisfaction of the client.

The Results:

The insulation manufacturer was very pleased. NEMX delivered a sound auger system that exceeded expectations.

Summary:

A client in the baking industry was looking for a custom system to wash their 6 – 30’ x 16” wide belt conveyors and 1 – 20’ tall by 6’ diameter mat top conveyor spiral in their packaging area due to food safety requirements.

The Challenge:

The challenge with all CIP systems is to understand the client’s needs and utilities available. This client required the conveyors to be rinsed, washed, sanitized and rinsed again. There would be collection of the waste water but no treatment thereafter, only straining the large particulates. All this was to be done utilizing a water well with limited flow capacity and scheduled to run in a 12-hour period.

Why the bakery client chose NEMX:

NEMX was chosen due to price, ability, reputation within the industry and timeline plan layout at bidding time.

How NEMX Responded:

NEMX provided in depth design and engineering to understand the well capacity to size the proper tank and pumps to which the entire system was designed. When the system proposed was approved by the client, the NEMX fabrication team jumped in, practicing proper food safety and cleanliness techniques to deliver a high-quality project to the field. When the fabrication was completed, the NEMX installation team mobilized during plant shutdowns and worked around the client’s busy schedule to install this system over the course of a few months.

The Results:

NEMX delivered a fully automated 4 cycle time-based cleaning system with 15 belt conveyor 5 nozzle spray application points with the wastewater caught and directed by a drip pan system. 1 reciprocating spiral spray system complete with enclosure and waste water catch system. The washing system is supplied by an automated tank dosing system while the waste water is controlled by a full catch pan and straining system. All this tied back into a program that is based on time and fully able to be manipulated based on the client’s cleaning requirements.
